Science of Snowmaking Guided Tour

Have you ever wondered how we make snow? Learn about the different aspects of snowmaking: snow guns, snow qualities, wet bulb and much more when you hike from the top of Needles to Snowbasin’s state-of-the-art snowmaking building, stopping at a snow gun on the way. After you tour the snowmaking building, hike back to Needles Gondola with a guide, or hike down to the base area on your own. Difficulty: Strenuous Duration: 3 hours Age: 12+

Upper mountain tours (all tours except Disc Golf) require a lift ticket ($5 add-on) or a season pass for gondola access. Snack break and snack included on tour. Tours meet in the rental shop and most tours end at Needles Lodge, where lunch is available for purchase. FULL SUMMER 2015 SATURDAY GUIDED TOUR SCHEDULE Come prepared for a mountain adventure : closed-toes shoes and water bottle are required. Sunscreen, hat, rain gear and cameras recommended. Tours are geared towards families and adults. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Kid’s Adventure Tours offered Sundays for ages 7 - 12.
