The NEW SnowWiesn fall festival encompasses activities from the Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany. SnowWiesn is presented by Roosters Brewing will be held in the base area Sundays September 15th, 22nd, and 29th from 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm. The event is free and family-friendly. SnowWiesn will have delicious German-themed food, activities, and entertainment including live music, alphornists, competitions, and more. Come celebrate fall in the mountains during SnowWiesn. In tradition with Munich, Snowbasin’s General Manager, Davy Ratchford will tap the first keg and serve the first glass shouting, “O’zapft is’’ at 2:15 pm each Sunday. Throughout the day Snowbasin will be hosting Oktoberfest themed events for adults to win great prizes. Guests can test their arm strength during the Masskrugstemmen, stein holding competitions starting at 2:30 pm in men’s and women’s leagues for a chance to win a day ticket for this winter. Entry fee includes the commemorative stein filled with beer. Guests can also test their hand/eye coordination during the free Hammerschlager when guests drive nails into a stump. Plus Snowbasin is encouraging all guests to dress in their best German attire for a weekly costume contest at 4:00 pm for all ages. In conjunction with SnowWiesn, Snowbasin will be hosting their inaugural Corn Hole Tournament. Teams of two can sign up for $20 and play in a fall frenzy bracket challenge to be deemed the best each day. Registration opens at 2:30 pm and the competition starts at 3:30 pm. The Kids Zone and Wildflower Mini-Golf Course will be open from 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm; Needles Gondola will offer lift-served hiking, mountain biking and scenic rides on September 14th and September 15th. Then on September 21st and September 22nd Needles Gondola will be open for scenic gondola rides only. Mountain-Top Brunch will also be available on both Sundays. Music Line-Up: September 15th: Tony Oros Trio About the Band: Tony Oros has been a staple of acoustic cover music in Park City for over 10 years, with a resume also boasting Las Vegas and international experience. The Tony O Trio (TO3) enhances his eclectic solo set with bass, drums, harmonies, and other assorted sonic additions. From Beatles to Creedence, Bob Marley to Bob Seger; from ambiance to singalongs, from whispers to roars. September 21st: The B &B Allstars About the Band: Welcome to the official fan page of Utah's premiere polka band, specializing in Western Pennsylvania/Cleveland-style polka music! September 29th: Park City Polka Players About the Band: They are a 5 piece polka band. They are classically trained musicians who enjoy the fun of playing polka music at restaurants and events. They are based on the traditional German and American Oompah Band which has more of a brass band quality.
