Casa Nova Named Best Ski Chalet at World Ski Awards
13,000-square-foot Park City vacation home takes top U.S. prize
PARK CITY, Utah (Nov. 18, 2013) – Casa Nova, a 13,000-square-foot luxury vacation home located in the exclusive Deer Valley Resort in Park City, Utah, has been named the United States’ Best Ski Chalet at the World Ski Awards.
Located in the Deer Crest community, guests have access to a 24/7 on-site concierge known as the Chief Happiness Officer who is available to assist with any request, including arranging dining and nightlife accommodations, securing tickets to entertainment events, and arranging on- and off-site activities — a service that sets Casa Nova apart from other ski chalets. The home also offers top-of-the-line hospitality services upon request, including a private chef, ski instructors, daily housekeeping and a yoga/fitness trainer.
“As the CHO, Chief Happiness Officer, I am available to provide 5-star hospitality for guests,” said Jenni Haines. “My goal is to know a guest’s wants before they do.”
Casa Nova includes ski-in/ski-out access to Deer Valley Resort and is just minutes from downtown Park City. Deer Valley Resort was also honored at the World Ski Awards and was named the United States’ Best Ski Resort. Deer Valley Resort offers 21 chairlifts, 101 ski runs, six bowls, 11 restaurants, 300 annual inches of powder, three day lodges, 2,026 acres of alpine skiing, hundreds of luxury accommodations and a renowned Ski School and Children’s Center. Goldener Hirsch Inn, also located in Park City, was recognized at the World Travel Awards as well, earning the title of Best Ski Boutique Hotel.
“I am honored that Casa Nova has earned this prestigious designation,” said Mark Toro, owner of Casa Nova. “Casa Nova offers an unparalleled luxury experience that appeals to even the most discriminating guest.”
Casa Nova includes sleeping accommodations for up to 25 in six bedrooms plus a bunkroom, four bars, 13 flat screen televisions, two hot tubs, a THX-certified screening room for 15 guests, and state-of-the-art fitness, massage, sauna and steam rooms.
This new designation joins a long list of accolades. Casa Nova is the only luxury residence in North America (one of four in the world) to be a part of Virtuoso, the travel industry’s leading luxury network.
In 2008, Casa Nova was named the Ultimate Villa Vacation by Robb Report, the only ski resort included in the list. The home has been profiled in luxury publications such as Forbes Life Magazine and Luxury Travel Magazine. CBS News also named Casa Nova the Best Luxury Mountain Villa in Utah in 2009.
The World Ski Awards took place Nov. 15-17 at A-Rosa Kitzbühel in Kitzbühel, Austria. The inaugural World Ski Awards focused on 20 nations, celebrating and rewarding excellence across ski resorts and the ski hospitality sector. The awards were created to raise the ski tourist customer experience and stimulate the ski tourism market.
The World Ski Awards are part of World Travel Awards, currently celebrating its 20th anniversary. 2013 winners of World Travel Awards include Soho House New York in New York City, Bellagio in Las Vegas, The Breakers in Palm Beach, Fla., and Grand Wailea in Maui, Hawaii.
