The hotel at Deer Valley Resort won the World Ski Award for top boutique in the country.

PARK CITY, Utah (Nov. 21, 2013) — Make room in the trophy case! The Goldener Hirsch Inn, Park City’s top small luxury hotel nestled in the heart of Deer Valley Resort, was voted the country’s “Best Ski Boutique Hotel” in the World Ski Awards.

The Goldener Hirsch beat out five other top finalists from Park City, Jackson Hole, Telluride and Beaver Creek.

The World Ski Awards, part of the World Travel Awards, recognize hotels for elevating “the ski-tourist customer experience” and “stimulating both the domestic and international ski-tourism markets.” More than a million votes from across the globe were cast this year in the two months polls were open.

The Goldener Hirsch Inn and the winners in other categories, such as Best Ski Resort and Best Ski Chalet, were crowned this past weekend at a three-day awards ceremony in Kitzbühel, Austria— just 50 miles from the Goldener Hirsch’s namesake and inspiration, the Hotel Goldener Hirsch in Salzburg, Austria.

“We are delighted to accept this award!” said Hope Eccles, president of Goldener Hirsch Inn. “We always knew that our hotel offers a truly intimate and unique experience, but we also knew we faced some very stiff competition. That we won speaks to the commitment to service and passion for excellence that are hallmarks of our family and our staff.  Thank you also to our loyal guests who took the time to show how much they appreciate what we do and who made this award a reality.”

The award is the latest accolade for Goldener Hirsch Inn, which has attracted acclaim for its accommodations and personalized service since opening in 1991. It has earned “Extraordinary” ratings from the Zagat Survey and “Four-Diamond” ratings from AAA for the past 10 years in a row, and won recognition from Salt Lake Magazine and continuous Wine Spectator awards since 1995.

Indeed, the experience is one of a kind: Located high on the slopes above Park City and just steps from the ski runs of Deer Valley, the Goldener Hirsch Inn offers European charm in an unparalleled natural setting, featuring award-winning ski-in/ski-out luxury accommodations, personal five-star service, and a renowned full-service restaurant and lounge.

The hotel’s twenty rooms feature European King-sized beds, hand-painted furnishings, fluffy terrycloth robes and slippers, private balconies and wood-burning fireplaces. Guests can also enjoy the hotel’s hot tubs, sauna and exercise equipment, and the exceptional Continental and American fare from its restaurant, which has earned “Extraordinary” ratings from Zagat and Four-Diamond recommendations from AAA.

“We take the small village, small hotel experience of the European Alps and make it a reality here in Deer Valley,” Davidson said. “Ours is a truly warm experience, where you can share special evenings with your loved ones and meet fellow guests also enjoying a special stay with us. When you stay at the Goldener Hirsch Inn, you’re sure to have a fully satisfying, one-of-a-kind experience.”
