Park City Mountain Resort Opens its 50th Anniversary Season on Saturday, November 23 with Biggest Opening Day Ever
·         PCMR’s season-long 50th anniversary celebration begins Opening Day with special gifts to guests, remarks from resort president & general manager Jenni Smith, live après music
·         3 lifts open at 9:00 am
·         PCMR’s Golden Anniversary Ale by Wasatch Brewery debuts to public
Park City, Utah (November 20, 2013) – Park City Mountain Resort opens for its 50th anniversary season this Saturday, November 23 with a program of celebratory events, giveaways, the debut of its Golden Anniversary Ale and, of course, snow.
PayDay Lift will service beginner and intermediate terrain, 3 Kings Lift will serve a jib set-up on Lower 3 Kings and First Time Lift will serve additional beginner terrain.
The beginning of the Resort’s Golden Anniversary season makes this one of PCMR’s biggest Opening Days ever. Special 50th anniversary gifts will be given to guests throughout the day in addition to commemorative First Chair tees for the first guests in line at each of the three lifts opening Saturday. The resort’s Miller Lite Après Concert Series kicks off with Motherlode Canyon entertaining guests on the PayDay Deck from 2:00 – 4:00 pm, and PCMR’s signature Golden Anniversary Ale by Wasatch Brewery will make its debut.
Free coffee, hot chocolate and donuts will be served in the resort plaza in the morning, and the first chair to load PayDay Lift will break a celebratory banner to open the season.
Opening Day Event Program:
8:55 am: PCMR President & General Manager makes public remarks
9:00 am: PayDay, 3 Kings, First Time lifts open for season
2:00 – 4:00 pm: Live apres music by Motherlode Canyon Band, presented by Miller Lite
Park City Mountain Resort will distribute Opening Day photos & video to media outlets on Saturday afternoon.
