Chef Zane Holmquist to Cook for TODAY'S Christmas Eve Show

PARK CITY, Utah (December 2016) – The highly acclaimed Zane Holmquist, Vice President of Food & Beverage & Corporate Chef at Stein Eriksen Lodge, will be a cooking guest for TODAY's Christmas Eve show. This marks the fifth consecutive year Holmquist has been invited to appear on the national morning show to demonstrate renowned menu items available for guests at Stein Eriksen Lodge, voted World's Best Ski Hotel. 

During this year's in-studio segment airing Christmas Eve, Holmquist will showcase two festive, signature dishes from Stein Eriksen Lodge's award-winning Glitretind Restaurant: a Pimento Cheese Ball recipe served with Herb Crackers and a Cast Iron S’mores recipe.

“I love every opportunity to be a guest on TODAY,” said Holmquist. “It's such an honor to be welcomed back each year, and a great experience to share a portion of Stein Eriksen Lodge with millions of viewers.” 

As Vice President of Food & Beverage, Holmquist consistently leads Stein Eriksen Lodge's talented food and beverage operations to new heights. Helping the Lodge's Glitretind Restaurant earn the coveted Forbes Four-Star award, Holmquist displays his culinary versatility through a variety of succulent dishes with an emphasis on local sourcing and organic products. Holmquist has been invited to showcase his fare at the renowned James Beard House and the Glitretind Restaurant has received the coveted Santé Award, Wine Spectator Award of Excellence and DiRONA (Distinguished Restaurants of North America Award).

Zane donates countless hours to charity events each year. You will find him as the lead chef at both the Taste of the Wasatch and March of Dimes Signature Chef Gala. He serves on the board for 3 Squares, Inc., a nonprofit fighting hunger in Utah with food education and food access programs.
