Dark Sky Stargazing, Basin Beer Fest and Pray for Snow Party

Snowbasin, Utah September 19, 2016 The last few weekends for summer operations at Snowbasin Resort are full of fun activities to say goodbye to summer and get excited for the upcoming 2016-2017 ski season. Snowbasin Resort has teamed up with the Ogden Astrological Society to offer a Black Moon Viewing and Martian Party on Friday, September 30 at Needles Lodge. Event is FREE for all passholders. Non-passholders can ride the gondola for just $12 for adults and $6 for kids. There will be telescopes, delicious dining, live music, and prizes for the best Martian costume.

The following day Snowbasin Resort hosts their fourth annual Basin Beer Fest on Saturday, October 1 from 12:00pm- 6:00pm and Sunday, October 2 from 12:00pm– 4:30pm.Pimps of Joytime and Pinetop Inferno will play free music on Saturday, and Leftover Cuties and Dead Winter Carpenters will play free music on Sunday, while guests sample all of the best local craft beers. Basin Beer Fest will feature beers from Bohemian Brewery, Uinta Brewing, Squatters Beers, Wasatch Beers, Red Rock Brewery, Roosters Brewery, 10 Barrel Brewing Company,Payette Brewing Company and more. Admission to the Beer Fest is free and 6 oz. samples of beer are available by purchasing tokens at just $2.50 each. The following weekend will be the last weekend of summer operations. Enjoy riding Needles Gondola with a delicious lunch at Needles Lodge on Saturday. On Sunday, October 9, delight in the last brunch of the season at Needles Lodge (prior reservations required) and then start dreaming of winter at the Pray for Snow Party. From 1:00pm – 4:30pm on Earl’s Lodge Patio, enjoy classic ski flicks, cocoa, s’mores, live music and more to get ready for an awesome winter ahead! Kid’s activities include the spider jump, playground and climbing wall.
