Happening on the Race Hill located at mid-mountain, guests can go head-to-head in unforgettable challenges against the resort athletes; Heidi Voelker, Shannon Bahrke, Kris “Fuzz” Feddersen, Kaylin Richardson, Jillian Vogtli , Trace Worthington and Chris Waddell. Deer Valley Resort pioneered the concept of five-star, gourmet dining at a ski resort and one of its crown jewels is the renowned Mariposa. The Mariposa is celebrating 37 winter seasons by offering a special $37 prix fixe menu, along with an optional $37 wine flight, available December 1 through 14. Deer Valley’s premier restaurant treats guests to a blend of classic and current cuisine, including vegetarian and tasting menus. It is rated #1 in Utah by the Zagat Restaurant Guide for food and service and features an award-winning wine list. The restaurant is open Tuesday through Sunday from 5:45 to 9 p.m. and reservations are available by calling 435-645-6715 or visiting deervalley.com/mariposa.

Holidays are a magical time to visit the #1 ski resort in North America. The young and young-at-heart look forward to Santa Claus’ slope-side visit to Deer Valley® each year. Santa will visit guests Sunday, December 24 in the Snow Park Lodge area from 9 to 11 a.m., and then in the Silver Lake Lodge area from noon to 1:30 p.m. Guests and their children are invited to bring cameras for a picture with our special guest.

Another favorite holiday tradition is Deer Valley Resort’s annual Torchlight Parade on December 30, 2017. Held at dusk (approximately 6 p.m.) on Big Stick ski run on Bald Eagle Mountain behind Snow Park Lodge, the Torchlight Parade dazzles guests with lights and torches coming down the hill in perfect formation by the Synchronized Ski Team.
