Deer Valley Resorts' Summer Concert Series Launches with Patriotic Celebration

DEER VALLEY RESORT, PARK CITY, UTAH (Summer 2016) – Summer in the mountains wouldn't be what it is without a spectacular lineup of renowned singers, songwriters and musicians filling the night sky with sound at Deer Valley Resort's famed Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater. Tickets are on sale now for a full calendar of concerts performed multiple times a week that make up the resort's annual summer concert series. The 2016 series consists of the Utah Symphony | Utah Opera's Deer Valley® Music Festival, the Park City Institute’s St. Regis Big Stars, Bright Nights Outdoor Concert Series, Mountain Town Music’s Grand Valley Bank Community Concert Series, and select performances presented by presented by The State Room.

The Utah Symphony | Utah Opera's Deer Valley® Music Festival has made Deer Valley Resort its summer home for 13 consecutive years, bringing with them time-honored favorites and exciting guest performers. The Deer Valley Music Festival proudly launches with a Patriotic Celebration on July 2 with Broadway's Doug Labrecque. Additional featured symphony guests this summer include the B-52s, Matthew Morrison, Steep Canyon Rangers, Under the Streetlamp and Michael Feinstein. Running from July 2 to August 9, the 2016 season also includes Rock On! Hits from the 70s & 80s, a Rodgers and Hammerstein Celebration & Singalong, the Music of David Bowie, DreamWorks Animation in Concert, the 1812 Overture! and the Music of John Williams. The St. Regis Big Stars, Bright Nights Outdoor Concert Series, presented by the Park City Institute, keeps the party on Deer Valley's stage going in a big way. The 2016 concert series features the following powerhouse concerts: Squirrel Nut Zippers (July 3); Emmylou Harris and Lyle Lovett (July 14); Chris Botti and Lucia Micarelli (July 21); Kip Moore (July 24); Béla Fleck and Abigail Washburn (July 28); Mike Posner (Aug. 7); Jon Batiste (August 20); Trace Adkins (August 25); Andy Garcia CineSon AllStars (August 27); and Jewel (September 3). A weekly staple of Park City's social scene is the Grand Valley Bank Community Concert Series, presented by Mountain Town Music. This free event highlights local musical acts every Wednesday night June 22 to August 24, from 6 to 8 p.m. This year's musical showcase includes such acts as the Lash Larue, Austin Wolfe, Take 5 Jazz and BadFeather. Deer Valley Resort welcomes back The State Room, one of Salt Lake’s premier live music venues. The State Room will bring two performances of nationally acclaimed artists to Deer Valley’s Outdoor Amphitheater this summer. Brandi Carlile will perform on August 13 and the Steve Miller Band will perform August 19.
