GUIDED HISTORICAL HIKES AT DEER VALLEY RESORT

WHAT: Guided Historical Hikes will be offered again this summer at Deer Valley Resort on the second Sunday of each month. Hikes last three to four hours, cover moderately strenuous terrain, are typically less than six miles long and highlight the area’s mining history.

WHEN: Hikes depart at 8:30 a.m. The guided hikes are scheduled on June 11, July 9, August 13, September 10, and October 8, 2017, (weather and conditions permitting).

WHERE: Participants meet near the base of Deer Valley’s Sterling Express chairlift, located mid-mountain at Silver Lake Lodge.

HOW: New this year, reservations are required and a $10 fee applies. A portion of the proceeds from the Guided Historical Hikes will benefit Friends of Ski Mountain Mining History. Please call 435-645-6648 to make a reservation. Group size is limited to 40 participants. Participants should be in good shape, wear sturdy footwear, bring proper sun protection and carry plenty of water and snacks. For the safety of others who share the mountain, no dogs please.
