PARK CITY, Utah (November 10, 2015) — High West Distillery is proud to announce the return of its popular seasonal spirit, A Midwinter Night’s Dram^®. Available at fine retailers across the country, it’s been awarded a near-perfect 98 rating from Wine Enthusiast.

Named after Shakespeare’s comedy about love “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” this magical rye whiskey has exceptional flavor to keep you and your love warm through the winter. “Whiskey is an indispensable part of making it through a long, cold winter,” High West proprietor Dave Perkins said. “In ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream,’ Lysander describes how quickly true love can vanish. We feel the same about a dram of our Midwinter Night’s Dram. But rest assured, if you savor it slowly, we can attest that A Midwinter Night’s Dram^® will help you through the coldest night.”

A Midwinter Night’s Dram^® is a limited release of High West’s award winning Rendezvous Rye finished in port and French oak barrels, providing festive flavors of the season making it a perfect gift for Thanksgiving, the holidays or any other occasion.

The curtain rises November 1st, when A Midwinter Night’s Dram® will be available nationally. It is also be available for purchase in the High West General Store in Old Town, Park City and at High West’s new distillery on Blue Sky Ranch.

“The rye forms a beautiful vanilla, caramel and cinnamon base, the port barrels add plums and dried fruits, and the French Oak adds a spice accent,” Perkins said. “It tastes like a proper Christmas plum pudding with lovely mulling spices, dried fruits and crème Anglaise. We knew this was just perfect in the middle of a long cold winter.”

A Midwinter Night’s Dram^® joins 11 other award-winning High West spirits. Bottled at 98.6 proof so it goes in at body temperature and priced at $79.99 per bottle, it first made its debut on Valentine’s Day 2014.
