New Dining Discovery Event This Season- ‘Country Italian’

Snowbasin, UT July 2017 Snowbasin Resort’s food scene adds a new dining discovery event this summer to their offerings. On Saturday, July 29 guests indulge on delicious Italian food while admiring the evening light of the Ogden Valley atop the mountain. Snowbasin celebrates the summer and its relaxing rustic characteristics that can only be experienced with a true ‘Country Italian’ dinner served family style. Guests start the evening with a scenic gondola ride to Needles Lodge. They are welcomed with preset tables in counts of eight where all food will be shared on the table like you would if you were just coming from a hard day’s work on the family farm. The food will all be traditionally prepared in the spirit of ‘slow cuisines’ – where dinner preparation begins the day before or the morning of. The chefs will talk to the guests between each course and there will be live entertainment. 

The menu includes an antipasto of pickled vegetables, cured meats, bruschetta and pane rustico; followed by orzo pasta with wild mushrooms, green peas, pancetta, smoked parmesan and browned butter. The main course is red wine marinated skirt steak stuffed with lemon ricotta, roasted tomatoes and charred asparagus with balsamic caramelized onions on a bed of arugula. Finishing your evening with a delicious tiramisu.
