Park City Mountain Resort Announces Summer Operations and Three New Activities for Kids

PARK CITY, UT (May 2016) – After making a historic debut this winter as the largest ski resort in the United States, Park City Mountain Resort is gearing up for the summer. Today, Park City announced that summer operations will begin at the Park City Base Area on Friday, May 27 and will include three new activities for children: a zipline for small children, a kids’ challenge course and a kids’ summer tubing hill. Canyons Golf will open for its second season on Friday, May 27 and Canyons Village will open for summer operations on Friday, June 17.

Park City Base Area
Beginning May 27, Park City will offer a variety of outdoor activities at the Park City Base Area including one of the world’s longest alpine slides; the ZipRider and Flying Eagle Zip Lines; a 4,000 ft alpine coaster; and miles of hiking and mountain biking terrain serviced by three lifts. PayDay Lift will open on May 27 followed by Crescent Lift on June 17. Town Lift will be open for scenic rides beginning June 17 through August 21. New this summer, Park City will also offer three new attractions for children weighing between 30 – 100lbs. including a small kids’ zipline and kids’ challenge course that are targeted to open Memorial Day Weekend and a kids’ summer tubing hill targeted to open in July.

Canyons Village
The Canyons Village Base Area will begin operations on Friday, June 17. Activities include the Zip Tour Adventure, Park City Bike Park at Canyons Village, scenic gondola rides, Canyons Village Putting Course and disc golf, and miles of hiking and biking trails. Canyons Golf
Canyons Golf will open for its second season on Friday, May 27 featuring spectacular views of the Wasatch and Uinta mountains from almost every hole. Guests can expect big elevation changes, pristine conditions and great service on this memorable and exciting course. New this summer, hole 15 has been completely redesigned to improve playability as well as the greens on holes 1, 3, 6, 10 and 17. Canyons Golf is also offering an Unlimited Season Pass this year for $1,000 and $500.00 for each additional family member. Summer Events
Park City Mountain Resort will continue to offer a full lineup of free events this summer, including the annual Saturday Summer Concert Series at Canyons Village beginning July 2 on select Saturdays throughout the summer, the annual 4th of July Celebration and fireworks show at the Park City Base and a weekly Farmers’ Market at Canyons Village in the Cabriolet Parking Lot on Wednesdays beginning June 1. Mountain Dining
Guests of Park City will also find an array of dining options across the resort this summer. The Farm, named one of Utah’s Top 25 restaurants in 2015, will be open for dinner seven days a week beginning Friday, June 17 and features a new summer menu that focuses on ingredients sourced from local and regional farms and artisan purveyors. Also beginning June 17, Red Tail Grill will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner and Red Pine Lodge, located at the top of the Red Pine Gondola, will serve lunch daily. Jupiter Java and Crescent Burger will open on May 27 at the Park City Base Area and Legends Bar and Grill serve lunch seven days a week beginning June 3.
