Powder Mountain Announces New GM Mark Schroetel

We are pleased to announce that Mark Schroetel has taken the position as Powder Mountain Resort, General Manager. Mark started working in the recreation industry as a windsurfing instructor when he was just 12 years old. In 1993 Mark began his winter recreation career as a ski instructor at Whitetail Resort in Mercersburg, PA. In his tenure at Whitetail he held various positions in the Sales and Marketing Department eventually taking over the Manager role. In 1999 he accepted the General Manager position at Bear Creek. During his 15 years at Bear Creek, the resort underwent a transformation from a struggling seasonal resort with a mere 38,000 skier visits and and total revenue of $780,000, to a successful four season operation with over 190,000 skier visits and total winter revenue averaging $13,000,000 and summer revenue averaging $8,000,000. We are all thrilled to have him join us and the Powder Mountain team!
