Park City, Utah (January 7, 2016) – Two of skiing’s most innovative and exciting forces come together as Armada today announced the addition of 3-time X Games gold medalist Sammy Carlson to its AR Family team of riders.
“I’m so proud to be riding for Armada now, it’s definitely the best look for skiing and they’ve got the most progressive skis out there,” Sammy said about the announcement. “I’m just psyched to be representing a company I truly believe in and feel strongly about. The sky’s the limit with Armada.”
After staking his claim as one of the world’s most talented slopestyle and big air athletes, Sammy has more recently captured some of the most captivating backcountry film edits ever seen. This season he can be seen in his solo film, “The Sammy C Project.”
“Sammy brings unsurpassed imagination to his skiing, with zero tolerance for conformity,” said Armada Vice President for Marketing, Jordan Judd. “His skiing and work ethic speak for themselves, and he brings a great attitude that makes him a perfect fit for the Armada family.”
Armada’s AR Family represents the intersection of skiing, design, freedom and art that the company was founded on in 2002 and includes, among others, ski icon Tanner Hall, X Games champion Henrik Harlaut and Olympian Torin Yater-Wallace, as well as renowned street artist MADSTEEZ and explorer/photographer Jimmy Chin.
