Ski Utah Honors Local Media

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH (Tuesday, March 31, 2015) - Ski Utah hosted its annual local media day at Snowbasin Resort on Friday, March 27, 2015. The annual event is designed to recognize Utah’s local media support of the Utah ski and snowboard industry.

 

This year, Ski Utah presented three awards to media members who have significantly aided the promotion of The Greatest Snow on Earth®. The Local Media Member Award is given to the individual who best shares their passion for Utah winter sports through their work. This year’s recipient was Curtis Ray from ABC4. Ray has continuously dedicated both his time and efforts into supporting the ski and snowboard industry on and off the air. His dedication, positivity and support has been greatly appreciated throughout the seasons. 

 

In addition Ski Utah also honors a Weather Enthusiast of the Year. This award is given to the person who best celebrates Utah’s winter weather and encourages their audience to embrace The Greatest Snow on Earth®. This year’s recipient is Evan Thayer with Wasatch Snow Forecast. Through Thayer’s passion and creativity the Wasatch Snow Forecast has become a true resource for the entire ski industry.

 

Finally, Ski Utah also recognized a Social Media Influencer of the Year.  New this year, the award goes to someone who best represents Ski Utah’s core values on all social platforms. This year’s recipient is Annie Cutler from FOX13. Cutler’s passion for the ski industry is not only exemplified on air, but consistently throughout the season on all social accounts.
