Snowbasin, UT – April 29, 2014 – Establishing itself as one of Utah’s premier high alpine summer gathering places and music venues during 2013, Snowbasin Resort, once again, will be delighting music fans and outdoor enthusiasts every Sunday this summer with FREE music from June 15th – September 28th. The 2014 Blues Brews & BBQ series line up covers 16 concert dates with 33 musical artists. ‘The artists this year vary from week-to-week. From Roots & Blues, to Americana, funk & soul, jam, and a turn back to country and bluegrass. We have some fan favorites like Lukas Nelson and Andy Frasco coming back, as well as some new, up and coming artists we are proud to feature. Any given week will be a discovery of music and hopefully an adventure for our guests’ Says Peter J Baker, Director of Dining, and Entertainment.
New for this summer, families will not only enjoy great music at Snowbasin Resort, they can try our Euro Bungee, children’s playground or jump around in one of our bouncy houses. But, don’t forget about the food with recently added products such as snow cones, and soft serve ice cream to help round-out Snowbasin Resort’s already hearty award-winning BBQ dining experience.
The music series kicks off on Father’s Day with the 10-piece funk band ‘Cure for the Common’ with support from local Ogdenite the Codi Jordan Band. Then Every Sunday after, the gates of the venue will open at Noon. The first act will go on at 12:30, with the headlining artist taking the stage at roughly 3:30. Concessions will be available as soon as the gates open, and will go until the headlining act has completed their set. ‘We want our guests to come gather in this beautiful high alpine environment, watch great free music, and experience Snowbasin Resort dining.’ Says Jason Dyer, resort spokesperson. ‘If you liked what we offered last year, wait until this summer.’
