January 16 2020

Snowbasin, UT (January 16, 2020) — Snowbasin Resort is thrilled to welcome guests from around the world as part of the new Epic Pass partnership. With 182 inches of snowfall, all 11 lifts running and 100% of their terrain open early; new guests have experienced the legendary mountain and amenities Snowbasin offers. This winter Snowbasin has welcomed guests from all 50 states, multiple countries and can’t wait to host more throughout the season.

“As one of the most accessible and historic ski areas in North America, Snowbasin is pleased to offer Epic Pass holders another option in Utah,” said Davy Ratchford, Snowbasin’s General Manager. “With our Olympic legacy, variety of terrain and proximity to Park City our new partnership is a great opportunity for skiers and riders to enjoy two amazing resorts in Utah. Not only are we pleased to welcome new guests, but this partnership allows Snowbasin’s longtime clientele to experience expanded access to resorts across the globe.”

Nathan Rafferty, President of Ski Utah says, “Ski Utah is excited that there are now two destinations for Epic Pass guests to enjoy in Utah. Ski Utah sees substantial visitation with these multi-resorts passes and is pleased to see them grow within the state. Both Park City and Snowbasin are less than one hour from Salt Lake International Airport, with great lodging options close by. With the addition of another option for Epic guests, we welcome them to experience The Greatest Snow on Earth®.”

Sara Toliver, President of Visit Ogden shares, “Nature has blessed us with a wonderful start to the ski season giving us the opportunity to showcase Utah’s Greatest Snow on Earth® to visitors from around the globe. The Epic Pass has allowed additional visitors to discover the greater Ogden community and all of the incredible dining, cultural, and recreational assets it offers. The support of these businesses and events is vital to their existence and what we all get to enjoy as residents. We are looking forward to welcoming those additional visitors looking to discover our amazing destination.”

Epic Pass holders receive seven days of skiing or snowboarding with no restrictions, while Epic Local Pass holders receive two days of access with minimal restrictions, plus 50% off additional lift ticket prices after those days have been fulfilled. Epic 4-Day through Epic 7-Day Pass holders can use any or all of their total days at Snowbasin, with 50% off additional tickets after the original days have been fulfilled. For Epic Day Pass products with holiday restrictions, blackout dates do apply.

Snowbasin spent the summer enhancing the guest experience on-and-off the mountain. Off-mountain, amenities grew with a full renovation of Earl’s Servery in the base area, offering better flow, higher quality food and a new craft beer station. Snowbasin also expanded parking capacity by 12% and built a new clinic in the base area with Intermountain Healthcare. On-mountain, Snowbasin expanded the Family Zone with Bear Hollow Woods, a tree skiing area specifically made for kids, added an intermediate run off Wildcat and installed new snowmaking on Mt. Ogden Bowl Road off the John Paul Chairlift. Plus Snowbasin brought back a NASTAR course for guests to race against the clock on weekends throughout the season. Guests at Snowbasin are already enjoying these upgrades and the start to an incredible season.

Snowbasin is enthusiastic to share their experience the rest of the winter and hope guests from near and far will join them. Furthermore, Snowbasin’s select lodging partners in the Ogden Valley will offer 25% off lodging to Epic Pass guests.
