Solitude Mountain Resort has transitioned its mountain offering from winter to summer, with a host of recreational activities available to guests seeking an alpine getaway. Summer vacationers are welcomed with lift-served mountain biking and mountain scooters, hiking, scenic chairlift rides, disc golf and mountainside dining.
“Summers at Solitude Mountain Resort offer guests a beautiful setting to challenge themselves physically, discover an appreciation for nature and create lasting summer vacation memories,” said Kim Mayhew, general manager for Solitude Mountain Resort. “With generally mild temperatures throughout the summer months and an array of outdoor activities, Solitude is the perfect mountain getaway for all ages to achieve exactly what our name implies.”
Solitude's lift-served mountain biking, mountain scooters, hiking and scenic rides on the Sunrise chairlift will begin Friday, June 19 and operate Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. through and including, Labor Day, Monday, September 7, 2015. All-day lifts passes are $20, single rides $10 and season passes $79 (children six and under are free with a paying adult). Mountain bike, mountain scooters and disc golf rentals will operate out of the Village Adventure Center seven days a week from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., beginning Monday, June 15 through Labor Day, Monday, September 7, 2015. Bike, scooter and disc golf rental prices are available at skisolitude.com. Cross-country bike trails are open seven days and access is free, make sure to stop by the Solitude Adventure Center to pick up a trail map.
Solitude Village has two summer dining options available for guests: Stone Haus Pizzeria & Creamery and Honeycomb Grill. Stone Haus Pizzeria & Creamery will be open seven days a week beginning Monday, June 1 through Sunday, September 27, 2015. Sunday through Thursday hours are 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday and Saturday hours 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Honeycomb Grill will open three days a week beginning Friday, June 19 through Sunday, September 6, 2015. Friday and Saturday hours are 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and a Sunday Brunch offered 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Honeycomb Grill will also be open on Labor Day, Monday, September 7 from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
