Spring Season at Snowbird Highlighted By Live Music, Deals 

 

Snowbird, Utah – Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort has a full line-up of spring entertainment, highlighted by live music on the Plaza Deck, Easter activities and deals on spring season passes and lodging.

 

“The weather has been fantastic so far in March, with plenty of powder and blue bird days alike,” said Dave Fields, Vice President of Resort Operations. “It’s the perfect time to ski a few laps, and then enjoy the sunshine on the Plaza Deck with food and music.”

 

Snowbird currently has a base depth of 106”of snow, and the resort has received 299” so far this season. Spring passes are now available for $499, or $329 after April 1, and are valid for the rest of the 2013/14 season. Snowbird is also offering a Spring Stay and Play lodging package with rates starting at $99 and include a lift ticket (rate is per person, per night, based on double occupancy, not including tax and resort fees, three night minimum stay required). Easter at Snowbird will feature a sunrise service on Hidden Peak and a free Easter egg hunt. Free Aerial Tram rides will be offered to transport passengers to Hidden Peak beginning at 5:21 a.m., and the last Easter service Tram will depart at 6:21 a.m. The service will begin at 6:41 a.m. Guests are encouraged to dress warmly, and no skis or snowboards will be allowed on the Tram before the resort opens for skiing and snowboarding at 9 a.m. Easter breakfast and brunch will be offered at several Snowbird restaurants following the service.

 

The Easter egg hunt is for children up to 11 years old, and will take place in Chickadee Bowl at 9 a.m. The Easter Bunny will make a special appearance at the hunt.

 

Snowbird will host the IFSA Junior North American Championships, a big mountain ski competition for youth, April 9-12.

 

The resort will host live music on the Plaza Deck each FridaySaturday and Sunday from 2-5 p.m. in April, and from 1-4 p.m. in May, weather permitting.  Performances are scheduled as follows:

Offering the longest ski and snowboard season in Utah, Snowbird will be open for skiing and snowboarding until May 11, then Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays plus Memorial Day, conditions permitting, until May 26. Summer operations will begin June 14.
