SUNDANCE, UTAH (November 2014)—Sundance Mountain Resort is set to open for ski and snowboard season on December 5th, 2014. This season Sundance features a variety of programs for all ages including Winter Kids Camp, Ladies Day Programs and special lodging packages. In addition, Sundance is making preparations for its ZipTour, the longest in Utah to open in Spring 2015. The Sundance ZipTour will be the third longest zipline in the United States at just under two miles and will have the most vertical drop of any ziptour in the country at 2100’.

Sundance will introduce its Winter Kids Camp over the holidays, December 22, 23, 26, December 29-January 2, from 9 am to 4 pm for ages 5-12. The Sundance Kids Camp is an active nature day camp that will offer Campers a unique and memorable experience each day. Camp will include opportunities for snowsports instruction, games and outdoor play, as well as creativity and artistic expression. Children will also learn about the environment, enjoy science exploration, games and overall fun on the mountain.
Cost for a full day for children ages six years to 12 years of age is $124 and include a full day lift pass.

The Sundance Ladies Day Specialty Clinics offers ladies of any skill level the perfect opportunity to improve their abilities, as well as enjoy being out on the mountain with friends. Students who bring three friends receive a 20% discount. These clinics are for women wishing to learn how to improve their personal skiing or snowboarding skills, or learning how to ski or snowboard for the first time in a fun, friendly and exciting group atmosphere.
Groups will be organized based on ability levels, Beginner to Advanced. The ladies groups are led and taught by our top ski and snowboard instructors who create a safe, fun, learning environment for everyone. Sundance offers sessions of four weeks each in January, February or March. So, ladies can just choose the session that works best for their schedule and enjoy a ladies day out while also improving their ski or snowboard skills.
Sundance’s Nordic Center set amidst backcountry beauty and offering immaculate trails offers the best of both worlds. Guests can take in the quiet beauty of aspen groves as they follow trails through snow covered meadows. A full 15 kilometers of daily groomed trails are available for skating and classic cross country skiing. Snowshoers can explore terrain on 10 kilometers of dedicated trails winding through the snowy woods. There are also winter activities such as Night Owling and Full Moon Cross Country Skiing or Snowshoeing.
The Nordic Center will also offer Fat Bikes, which are specifically designed to be ridden over our snow covered groomed trails. These bikes are surprisingly stable and easy to ride. Bring your own bike or rent one of Sundance’s high end carbon fiber Fat Bikes for $45 for the day.
