Earlier this week I spent for four days up in British Columbia Heli Skiing with friends from all over the U.S. The trip was amazing! Sun, snow and big mountains, what more can a skier ask for? As the trip wound down, the crew was dreading heading home to their respective locations. You know who wasn’t dreading heading home? This guy! As always, I was following the weather back in Utah and I knew we had a pretty good storm system headed our way. Sure enough as our Delta flight touched down in Salt Lake City Wednesday afternoon even the lowest elevations were dressed in white. What a welcome home that was.
Are you ready for the best part? The forecast for Friday night is for 2 - 5 inches of snow to fall so that pretty much guarantees great snow all weekend. Tuesday and Wednesday are looking really good to me at the present time. Personally, I think we will be talking about feet of snow above 7,500 feet! Here is the total precipitation forecast for the next 156 hours, so say about 7 days.
Basically, what I’m trying to tell you, if you have a ski trip planned to Utah during the next week you’re in luck!
