Pick of the week- Beaver Mountain

by Powderhound Matt December 27 2011 0 Comments

My travels haven't taken me to Beaver Mountain yet, but I'll be there soon, you can count on this.  If you're looking to ski some fresh powder this week Beaver Mountain will be the place to be.  The current storm track sits just above the Utah / Idaho state line.  All indications point to a decent sized snow event in the far northern Wasatch this week.  I'm thinking they could pick up about a foot of snow by the end of the week.  Here is the forecast from the National Weather Service in Salt Lake City.  Enjoy the Snow!

Wednesday...A chance of snow in the morning...then snow likely in the afternoon. Cloudy. Little or no accumulation in the bear river valley and up to 1 inch in the mountains. Highs in the lower 30s. Chance of snow 60 percent.

Wednesday Night...Snow likely. Accumulations possible. Lows 10 to 15. Chance of snow 60 percent.

Thursday...A chance of snow in the morning...then a chance of rain and snow in the afternoon. Cloudy. Highs in the mid 30s. Chance of precipitation 50 percent.

Thursday Night...A chance of rain and snow in the evening...then a chance of snow after midnight. Mostly cloudy. Lows 15 to 20. Chance of precipitation 40 percent.

Friday...Mostly cloudy. A chance of snow in the morning...then a chance of rain and snow in the afternoon. Highs in the mid 30s. Chance of precipitation 30 percent.

Friday Night...Mostly cloudy with a 40 percent chance of snow. Lows 10 to 15.

Saturday...Mostly cloudy with a 30 percent chance of snow. Highs around 30.
