PARK CITY, UT (Oct. 15, 2012) – Utah’s largest and most dynamic ski and snowboard resort, Canyons Resort, plays a starring role in the newest Warren Miller Entertainment full-length feature film, “Flow State”. The world premiere of the film will take place at 8:00 p.m., Friday, Oct. 19 at Abravanel Hall in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The Canyons segment of “Flow State” highlights many of the $50 million in infrastructure investments made since 2010. Canyons’ massive transformation has been so embraced by skiers and snowboarders that SKI Magazine readers named Canyons a Top 10 North American resort for the first time ever. The film highlights Canyons’ stunning tree skiing, the vibrant apres ski scene of Ski Beach, Park City’s only resort-based heli-skiing operation (Wasatch Powderbird Guides),and the world-class accommodations at Waldorf Astoria Park City.
Two-time Olympian Kaylin Richardson, who represents Canyons as both a Ski Ambassador and Ultimate Mountain Experience guide, co-stars in the film alongside celebrated skiers and snowboarders from around the world. Richardson will greet fans and autograph posters at more than a dozen tour stops, including Salt Lake City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Denver and her hometown, Minneapolis.
“I can’t wait to share the beauty, diversity and challenge of Canyons with Warren Miller fans all over the country,” Richardson said. “Skiers and snowboarders will love the images of Canyons in the film, and I’m sure they’ll want to make plans to visit us this season.”
