Skiing, like most of life’s activities, requires just enough fitness to stay upright and enjoy the ride. Although a bit of strength and stability do help. Whether you’re getting on the bunny hill for the first time or trying to chase the kids down the slope, get up, get fit, and get ready to go boldly to places you’ve never gone before.

Snowbird comments:
Gooooood morning Snowbird! It’s Owen, with today’s snow report. Road and Resort Update: SR-210 is currently CLOSED and Snowbird Village is in Interlodge. The estimated reopening time is currently 8:30 am. Well yesterday was pretty much the best day ever, like of all time. That’s not an exaggeration. Over the course of yesterday’s 24 hours, we received a total of 34” of snow. Insane. That feels illegal somehow, I don’t know why, but it does. What’s even crazier is how much of it and how long we got to ski it, thanks to our patrol (not to mention everyone else who kept us up and running yesterday). They’ve been grinding for us, so if you see them out today, give em’ a fist bump. Yesterday was amazing, but today might be ledgendary, lemme tell ya. Overnight we got 7” and we might have some flurries after 11 am. It’s going to be partly sunny, with a high of around 21°, but a wind chill of around -11°. You’re probably going to want that extra layer - and maybe a snorkel. It really is that deep. I have never choked on powder as much as I did yesterday. Again, please make sure your car (or truck) is capable of making the drive up the canyon, don’t be the reason why people can’t go skiing. If not, carpooling or taking the bus are great alternatives. ALL uphill travel is closed. Don’t be that guy (or girl). Please remember to ski and ride in control, it’ll make the experience better for everyone. That’s the snow report and if you don’t like it, too bad. I’ll be here all season. Except for Fridays and Saturdays. I’m off those days. #GMTB
