Deer Valley Resort Offers Specialty Ski Clinics With a Personalized Twist

Deer Valley Resort is pleased to offer a number of specialty ski school clinics this winter, designed to help skiers enhance their skills and build more confidence on the slopes. Deer Valley's innovative ski programs allow guests to learn new techniques from former Olympians, evaluate their skiing with video analysis or simply enjoy the company of fellow skiers during single- or multi-day programs.

"Our focus at Deer Valley is on the guest experience, and that’s exactly what skiers can expect from any of our specialty ski school programs," said John Guay, resort director of skier services. "Our specialty ski school programs are designed for small groups, but all participants can expect individualized instruction to help take their skiing to a new level at their own pace."

Mahre Training Center Ski Camps are offered in three- or five-day sessions throughout the winter and available to every level of skier. Led by Olympic medal winners Phil and Steve Mahre, the Mahre Training Center Ski Camps are designed to increase a skier’s balance, agility and confidence through world-class instruction. Ski camps include six hours of daily outdoor and indoor instruction, video analysis, evening discussions and personal training by the Mahre brothers. Advance reservations are necessary, and participants must be 12 years or older. Lift tickets are included in the price.

Skiers can also participate in men and women specific ski clinics designed for the individual needs of each skier with the resort’s Exclusively for Men or Exclusively for Women group programs. In addition to full days of professional on-hill instruction, each program includes stance, balance and alignment analysis, video analysis, test-ski equipment and social gatherings to get acquainted with fellow skiers. Men and women are paired with Deer Valley's own professional male or female ski instructors for a more specialized learning experience. Advance reservations for the men's and women's specialty clinics are necessary, and lift tickets are not included.
