Deer Valley Resort Will Donate One Percent of Seafood Buffet Profits to Monterey Bay Aquarium this Winter
February 8, 2011
DEER VALLEY, PARK CITY, UTAH (February 8, 2011) – Deer Valley Resort has announced that every Tuesday evening during the winter 2011 season, the popular Seafood Buffet will donate one percent of its food revenue to California’s Monterey Bay Aquarium.
“We are very particular about the types of seafood we serve at Seafood Buffet,” explains Julie Wilson, the Resort’s Director of Food and Beverage, “and we wanted to give back to ocean life. Not only are we members of the Monterey Bay Aquarium, but we use their excellent resources on an almost daily basis,” she explains. “The Monterey Bay Aquarium maintains the best and most up-to-date list of sustainable seafood in the country. The list lets us know what we should and should not be serving in our Deer Valley restaurants and we monitor it vigilantly, only serving the most sustainable seafood possible at Seafood Buffet and our other restaurants.”
Deer Valley’s Seafood Buffet is open evenings in Snow Park Lodge at the Resort base, from 6 – 9 p.m., closed Sundays and Wednesdays. It offers a vast array of fresh seafood, including sushi, chilled shellfish, hot seafood appetizers and entrées as well as roasted duck, pasta and prime rib and a baker’s dozen of fabulous housemade desserts from Deer Valley Bakery.
