Discounted Deer Valley Ski Passes- Winter 2011-12- On Sale for Locals June 17

DEER VALLEY RESORT, PARK CITY, UTAH (June 16, 2011) – Utah residents who want a first-class Deer Valley ski experience at a reduced  locals’ rate will be glad summer has arrived. Deer Valley’s highly popular Locals Coupon Books (which local guests can share with a partner); Buddy Passes (discounted lift vouchers for friends with the purchase of Coupon Books or Season Passes); and Season Pass sales begin on Friday, June 17.  And remember, anyone who purchases a full 2011/2012 Season Ski Pass now can use it immediately for free lift-accessed mountain biking, hiking and scenic chairlift riding at Deer Valley this summer.

Locals Coupon Book Rates: Deer Valley Resort offers discounted lift ticket rates to residents of Utah (this year, an adult skier can enjoy Deer Valley for as little as $54/day). Guests can choose from a variety of coupon book options (in increments of five or ten) valid either seven days a week or Monday through Friday only. Locals may purchase the Locals Coupon Books at the Snow Park Mountain Bike Office (open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week, from June 17th on); or online. The deadline for those new to the program to purchase the Locals Only Coupon Books is November 30, 2011. Some restrictions apply.  Current documentation of one of the following is required for the locals program; Utah driver’s license, Utah property tax bill, Utah utility bill, Utah business paycheck stub with a photo ID. Please note that minor children will qualify with parent presenting one of the above.

2010-2011 Season Passes: Season passes permit unlimited skiing without restrictions even during holiday periods. Season passes are non-transferable. Passes are available for every age. An adult Season Pass purchased before 10/31/11 is $1,725 this year, with a Midweek Pass going for $880. Please see a full rate schedule and restrictions at deerlocals.com .  Midweek Season Passes are available (and non-transferable) as well as Hospitality Passes, which provide the convenience of a Season Pass with the additional benefit of being transferable between family members, friends or business associates.

Buddy Pass: Those who purchase Deer Valley Locals Coupon Books can bring a buddy to ski Deer Valley any day the Locals Book is valid, and the buddy will pay the same daily rate the Coupon Book holder paid. (Locals Coupon Books of 10 receive two Buddy Passes and Locals Coupon Books of five receive one Buddy Pass.) After taking advantage of the buddy promotion, that buddy can purchase Locals Coupon Books any time during the season. They simply need to bring their buddy lift ticket with a qualifying Utah ID to the Snow Park Ticket Desk to make their purchase. Deer Valley Season Pass holders will be given four buddy coupons for each Season Pass purchase. Bring a Season Pass and a buddy coupon to any ticket office location to purchase a discounted lift ticket.

Locals Coupon Book and Season Pass holders also receive exclusive right to purchase a discount lunch card called the Snow Park Lunch Card. The Lunch Card is similar to a phone card, in that guests use it to purchase food until the value of the card is used up. The card may be purchased in $100 increments at a 20 percent discount, so a $100 card sells for only $80. Use the card anytime during the season at the Snow Park Restaurant between the hours of 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. The Lunch Card is not valid in any of Deer Valley’s evening restaurants, the Silver Lake Lodge or the Empire Canyon Lodge. Coupon Book or Season Pass holders may purchase the card online at deerlocals.com . Card holders may pick their card up at the Ticket Desk when they pick up their Locals Book or Season Pass, or at the Information Desk in Snow Park Lodge lobby during the ski season, between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily.
