Eider and Rossignol Match Utah Snow Total Campaign to Support Japan - Last Day to Enter April 29, 2011

April 21, 2011

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH- Ski Utah sponsors Eider and Rossignol have volunteered to match Ski Utah’s donation to the Japan Relief Fund. Ski Utah is hosting a "snow total guess campaign" on the Ski Utah Yeti Facebook page (www.facebook.com/theskiutahyeti). The Ski Utah Yeti has asked its fans to guess the Utah 2010-11 season ending snow total as of May 1, 2011. Ski Utah will then make a donation in the amount of the total snowfall (i.e. 700" = $2,100) to the Japan Relief Fund in the winner's name. The deadline to place a guess on the Facebook page is April 29, 2011 at 5 p.m.

“Ski Utah is thrilled to have participation from our sponsors Eider and Rossignol in this initiative,” said Ski Utah Marketing Director Raelene Davis. “Now, Utah’s snow total will be three times as helpful in supporting the Japanese people after the tragedies they have endured.”

Alta Ski Area is currently reporting 667 inches of The Greatest Snow on Earth® with snowstorms in the forecast suggesting this could be one of the snowiest winters in Utah history. For more information on Utah’s 14 resorts and updated closing information visit www.skiutah.com.
