Expanded Lift-served Mountain Biking and Hiking - Beginning on Monday, June 27, 2011

WHAT:
Deer Valley’s lift-served mountain biking and hiking expanded trail access is now open, along with scenic chairlift rides, effective Monday, June 27, 2011

Currently all of Bald Eagle and Deer Crest trails are open. Bald Mountain via Sterling Express now has the following trails open: Naildriver, Sunset, Super G, GS Trees, Lower Twist and Shout, Freestyle, Lower Aspen Slalom, The Dog Pound Trails and Upper Homeward Bound. Flagstaff Mountain via Ruby Express has trails open mid-mountain from Silver Lake to Empire including access to Tour de Suds and Guardsman’s Pass road. Ontario Hiking Trail and Summer Road are also open for hiking.

Deer Valley’s Bike Rental Shops located at all three lifts offer bike rentals, repairs and essential equipment for riders.  Deer Valley operates its own Mountain Bike School, offering scheduled clinics and tours for all abilities.

WHEN:
Open daily, expanded trail access beginning Monday, June 27, 2011, through Labor Day, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., then an additional weekend, September 10 & 11, 2011 (conditions permitting).

WHERE:
Lift-served mountain biking, hiking and scenic rides are offered from the Silver Lake Express chairlift at Snow Park Lodge, the Sterling Express chairlift located mid-mountain and Ruby Express chairlift in Empire Canyon.  Lift tickets, bike rentals and lessons are available from the Mountain Bike Rental Shops, located at Snow Park Lodge, outside Silver Lake Lodge at mid-mountain and from the Yurt adjacent to Empire Canyon Lodge.  Parking is available at both the Snow Park and Silver Lake Lodges.

MOUNTAIN BIKE RENTALS:
Deer Valley Resort offers an exceptional line of high-quality, full-suspension mountain and cruiser bikes for rent, plus all the accessories you’ll need for your ride.  Deer Valley’s Bike Rental Shops are open seven days a week through Labor Day, and September 10 and 11, 2011 (conditions permitting), from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and are located at Snow Park Lodge, outside Silver Lake Lodge mid-mountain and  the Yurt adjacent to Empire Canyon.  Rental of our mountain bikes includes a helmet and complimentary water bottle.

MOUNTAIN BIKE SCHOOL:
Deer Valley’s Mountain Bike School offers scheduled clinics and tours for all abilities. Open daily through Labor Day, and September 10 and 11 (conditions permitting) from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.,  the Mountain Bike School is available at Snow Park Lodge, outside Silver Lake Lodge mid-mountain and at the Yurt adjacent to Empire Canyon.  See more of the mountain by taking a bike clinic designed to improve your skills while you enjoy a guided trail ride.  For more information or to make a reservation, please call 435-645-6648.
