FAMILIES BEAT THE HEAT THIS JULY FOURTH WITH PANCAKES AT SNOWBIRD
July 1, 2013
Snowbird, UT – As part of its annual tradition, Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort will celebrate the Fourth of July with a pancake breakfast, live music and summer activities.
“The weather is much cooler at Snowbird than in the valley, and celebrating Independence Day at Snowbird is a great way for families to escape the city heat and enjoy a mountain getaway,” said Dave Fields, Vice President of Resort Operations.
The festivities will take place on the Fourth of July from 9 a.m. until noon on the Plaza Deck, Snowbird Resort Entry 2. The Aerial Tram will be running from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m.
The pancake breakfast will be all-you-can-eat and includes pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, coffee, orange juice and more. Adults cost $13.95, or $21.95 with an Aerial Tram foot passenger ticket. Children age 7-12 cost $9.95, or $17.95 with Tram ride, and children 6 and under are free.
Live music will be performed by C.J. Santoro Dixieland Band during breakfast.
Snowbird summer activities are in full swing, including the Aerial Tram, Alpine Slide, Mountain Flyer, Climbing Wall, Bungy Trampolines, Ropes Course and Air Jumper. The new Mountain Coaster and Peruvian Chairlift and Tunnel will open in August.
The resort is also hosting free movies on the Plaza Deck every Friday night at dusk, and free concerts every Saturday night at 6 p.m. This week’s movie is Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, and the band is Girls, Guns and Glory.
Lodging packages are available at Snowbird.com/specials, as low as $60 per person including lodging and daily breakfast at the Atrium or Forklift.
