Locals-Only Discounts at Brian Head Resort in Southern Utah

Brian Head, UTAH– Brian Head Resort offers a special season pass rate for local students, the $159 “Iron & Garfield County Student Pass” for Kindergarteners through 12th graders. The regular-priced student pass is $249. Also for locals, Brian Head offers the 2010-2011 Brian Head Winter Sports Club Saturday Youth Ski/Snowboard Program, which extends a 50% discount to residents of Southern Utah’s Iron and Washington Counties ages 8-17: an early season, three-Saturday, mini-camp for $130 and a five-Saturday program for $215. Price includes transportation from Cedar City, lift tickets, lessons, rentals, and a free beverage with lunch.

In its second year, this supervised program was previously known as the Iron/Washington County Parks and Recreation Program.

Deadline for reservations for the Youth Ski and Snowboard 3-week program is 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 1, 2010.

Deadline for reservations for the five-Saturday program is 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 18, 2010.

The 2010 dates of the three-Saturday mini-camp session are Saturdays December 4, 11 and 18. The 2011 dates for the full, five-week session are Saturdays January 22 and 29, and February 5, 12 and 26.

“This is basically no increase from last year’s price, and is our way of helping out during the current economic crisis. Further, this is a whopping 50% discount from the regular price for a similar Winter Sport’s lesson package,” explained Brian Head Resort’s Sales, Marketing and PR Manager, Jon Christoffersen.

Christoffersen noted that a minimum of 40 participants in each session is required for the program to be viable. The maximum number of registrants allowed for each session will be 55 participants.

All participants are grouped by sport and level, and all cell phones and beepers must be turned off during lessons.
