PARK CITY, UTAH (January 14, 2010) — The Park City Chamber of Commerce/Convention & Visitors Bureau (Chamber/Bureau) will hold its annual Groundhog Day Economic Forecast Luncheon on Tuesday, February 2 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. The event will take place in the Grand Summit Ballroom at The Canyons Resort, 4000 The Canyons Resort Drive in Park City.

Economic futurist Jeff Thredgold will deliver an up-to-the-minute and entertaining discussion of the economy and financial markets, as well as valuable tips to help companies survive and thrive as the recession ends. The discussion will include how to gain market share, attract talented employees, and recognize that there is a “light at the end of the tunnel”.

Jeff is President of Thredgold Economic Associates, an economic consulting and professional speaking company. He has been helping people understand the tangled maze of the economy and financial markets for over three decades. With a unique ability to “cut through the fluff”, he leads his audience on a slightly irreverent “tour” of the economy, financial markets, education, government, and a sneak preview of the future. He is the only economist in the world to earn the CSP (Certified Speaking Professional) designation, the highest earned designation in professional speaking. His latest book, econAmerica: Why the American Economy is Alive and Well……and What That Means to Your Wallet, was published in July 2007. In econAmerica, Jeff explains in detail the four key factors, or silver bullets that will drive the American economy for years to come.  Mr. Thredgold’s appearance at this event is sponsored by Zions Bank.
“Our economic forecast luncheon has become one of our most popular annual events”, said Bill Malone, President and CEO of the Park City Chamber Bureau. “The variety of speakers that have presented to our members over the years has been exceptional, and this year is no different”.

The cost of the event is $25.00 in advance or $30.00 at the door, and includes lunch. Those interested in attending are asked to visit www.parkcityinfo.com/rsvp by January 26 to RSVP for the event. For additional event information, please call 435-649-6100.
