Park City Mountain Resort To Open Summer Season on Memorial Day Weekend
May 14, 2013
Park City, Utah (May 15, 2013) – Park City Mountain Resort is the first resort in Park City to open for summer when it begins the season Friday, May 24 for Memorial Day Weekend.
New this year, the Resort will operate an additional chairlift – Crescent Hi-Speed Quad – to provide hikers and mountain bikers access to new parts of the mountain, including the Resort’s popular Shadow Lake and iconic Mid Mountain Trail. In addition to Crescent, PayDay Lift will operate from the base area while Town Lift will provide direct access to the mountain from Park City’s Historic Main Street.
The Resort’s roster of classic summer adventures returns in 2013, including: Utah’s longest alpine coaster; one of the world’s longest alpine slides; and the ZipRider and Flying Eagle Zip Line.
Kids can also explore the Spider Slide, Climbing Web, boulders and climbing wall in the Adventure Zone, and catch big air while safely harnessed on the Legacy Launcher trampolines. Little Miners Park’s merry-go-round, airplane ride and mini train cater to the resort’s youngest guests.
Also new this season, a Summer Lift Access pass provides unlimited lift rides all summer for $50, while a Summer Activity Pass ($250 for guests 54” and taller, $105 for guests between 42-54”) grants unlimited access for all summer rides (*excluding the Flying Eagle Zip Line and ZipRider).
Legends Bar and Grill, located at Legacy Lodge, offers a full menu of lunch and dinner options, and Crescent Burger serves made-to-order burgers, hand cut fries and homemade shakes just steps from the Resort’s attractions.
Daily summer operations are scheduled to continue through October 20.
