December 8, 2009

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH- With snowstorms in the forecast there has never
been a better time for skiers and snowboarders to acquaint themselves
with Ski Utah’s state-of-the-art snow reporting systems. Ski Utah has
revolutionized snow reporting with an upgraded snow report and iPhone
app allowing skiers to get the most up-to-date information on The
Greatest Snow on Earth®.

Ski Utah has enhanced its snow report to provide afternoon snow
totals, historical data, resort specific weather forecasts, and
terrain park information along with 24-hour and 48-hour snow totals.
Continuing the popular “Monster Dump” tradition, Ski Utah snow report
users are also eligible to win a case of Monster beverage each time
Utah receives a “Monster Dump” (12 inches of snow or more in 24
hours). Users simply log on to SkiUtah.com and click on the green
“Monster Dump” banner to enter. The Ski Utah snow report can be
accessed by phone, email, RSS feed, mobile alert, mobile web browser
(m.skiutah.com), or by simply visiting skiutah.com.

Tech-savvy snow enthusiasts can engage in “teachreation” by
downloading Ski Utah’s cutting-edge iPhone app made famous by author
Paul Tolme in the 2009 October issue of SKI magazine. The new app
includes resort snow reports, “Monster Dump” alerts and, links to Hot
Deals and the Ski Utah Yeti Flickr page which highlights the latest
snapshots of Utah resorts. A recent study by AdMob (one of the world's
largest mobile advertisers) indicates that iPhone traffic now accounts
for nearly half of all smartphone requests in the U.S. Using the Ski
Utah app, one quick tap on the screen might frostbite fingers as
powder has never been this portable.  The iPhone app is available on
the Apple Application Store, free to all iPhone users. To download the
app visit http://www.skiutah.com/winter/snow_report/mobile/index.html/.
