Ski Utah Increases Focus on Blog With the Addition of Two New Bloggers - Foodie Pam and Burritos and Snow Daniel

November 26, 2012

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH – In the media world blogs continue to grow in popularity and as a source for news and information. The same is true for Ski Utah’s blog as page visits grow every year and are up 35% this season. The blog has also become the backbone for content on SkiUtah.com. As a result, Ski Utah is investing resources into growing the already strong blog team by adding two new bloggers who bring new, unique voices to the team.

Pam Olson, a.k.a Foodie Pam, will focus on Utah’s diverse and delicious cuisine including everything from on-mountain noshes, city dives and the finest dinning. Pam is a freelance writer and former executive editor of Utah Homes & Garden magazine. A native Utahn, she grew up drawn to the natural world, camping in and hiking the state’s deserts and high mountain peaks. A birdwatcher and fly fisher, she’s become a passionate skier over the last few years, seeing mountains in an entirely different light. She and her husband are always in pursuit of the perfect day: Making first chair, skiing until their legs are tired, enjoying delicious food before, after and in between.

Daniel Cochrane, a.k.a Burritos and Snow, is a passionate snowboarder and burrito connoisseur. He grew up on the East Coast and South East where he surfed and skateboarded. Upon moving to Salt Lake City in 1996 picking up snowboarding was a no brainer. He has spent much of the sixteen years since exploring all that the Wasatch has to offer from groomers and backcountry to powder days and park laps. The DIY (Do It Yourself) aspect of the snow/skate culture prompted him to begin writing about his adventures three seasons ago on his own blog. The success of that blog led to writing with other snow outlets around Utah and ultimately to writing for Ski Utah. Basically, Daniel loves snowboarding and Utah and he just wont shut up about it.

The Ski Utah Blog team is currently comprised of the state’s most knowledgeable and enthusiastic snowsports bloggers. Burritos and Snow and Foodie Pam will join Ultimate Powderhounds Matt and Cat, Jodi Saeland, Park Rat Tom and the Ski Utah Yeti as they dish readers the inside scoop on skiing and riding Utah.
