Ski Utah Yeti Grants Nine Holiday Wishes
December 29, 2010
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH- Inspired by Mother Nature’s incredible generosity this winter, the Ski Utah Yeti engaged in a holiday wish-granting spree. Ski Utah Yeti fans from across the country were asked to post their Christmas wish on the Ski Utah Yeti Facebook fan page and explain whether they had been naughty or nice. Initially, the Yeti promised Facebook fans he would grant three holiday wishes but ultimately fulfilled nine.
“I was so moved by the pure excitement and enthusiasm my fans expressed in their wish requests,” exclaimed the Ski Utah Yeti. “Nothing warms my heart more than to share The Greatest Snow on Earth®.” The Yeti also noted that he was overwhelmed by the hundreds of wishes which poured onto his page and that he wished he could have granted them all.
The Yeti awarded wishes big and small from stickers to skis, lessons to sunrise tram rides. In total, the Yeti gave away three ski lessons to Snowbasin, Park City Mountain Resort and Brighton; a new Eider ski coat to a struggling med-school student complete with a pair of Solitude lift passes; a pre-public Christmas morning Snowbird Tram ride to a local couple; a dream powder day at Powder Mountain for a visitor and five of her friends; a Yeti sweatshirt, pack of Yeti stickers and a pair of Rossignol skis.
One recipient, Alyson G., drove to Snowbasin, Utah all the way from Alabama and wished desperately for a ski lesson for her daughter so she could better enjoy her Christmas trip. After the lesson Alyson remarked, “We may be too old to believe in Santa, but we definitely believe in the Ski Utah Yeti!! Thanks for granting the wish of a ski lesson for my daughter. Everyone was so helpful and kind. She made such an improvement today she didn't want to leave.”
