Snowbird Holds Grand Opening Ceremony for Little Cloud Quad

December 12, 2012

SNOWBIRD, UT – Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort is holding a grand opening ceremony for the new Little Cloud high-speed quad chairlift on Friday, Dec. 14, at 9 a.m.

“We are excited to offer a faster ride for our guests to some of the best terrain Snowbird offers,” said Bob Bonar, President of Snowbird.

The ceremony will include a ribbon-cutting by Bonar, Ski Utah President Nathan Rafferty and Visit Salt Lake President Scott Beck.

The new Little Cloud quad replaces the old Little Cloud double chairlift, which was installed in 1980. The new detachable high-speed quad was manufactured by Doppelmayr, a European company with its North American headquarters in Salt Lake City. The new chairlift is located in the footprint of the old Little Cloud chairlift. The old Little Cloud double chairlift was sold to Hunt Hollow Ski Club in New York.
