Stein Eriksen Lodge Receives Hospitality Industry’s Highest Honors Lodge Earns Prestigious Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five Diamond Rating
November 12, 2009
PARK CITY, UT (November 11, 2009) — Last week Forbes Travel Guide (formerly Mobil Travel Guide) and AAA announced the 2010 hospitality awards. Stein Eriksen Lodge was bestowed both the Forbes Five-Star and the AAA Five Diamond award, the hospitality industry’s most prestigious designations. Stein Eriksen Lodge maintains its position on an elite list of 37 hotels, inns and resorts throughout North America to hold both the Forbes Travel Guide’s and AAA’s highest accolades.
In addition to the Hotel’s coveted status, The Spa at Stein Eriksen Lodge was also recognized as one of only 107 spas in North America to
achieve the Forbes Four-Star award. The Four-Star award signifies that
The Spa at Stein Eriksen Lodge is one of the finest establishments in
the world, delivering guests an experience beyond their expectations.
Over
the past 27 years, Stein Eriksen Lodge has established itself as a
leader in alpine hospitality and one of the most highly respected
mountain resort destinations in the world. In 2003, the Lodge was the
first Utah property
to be recognized with the AAA Five Diamond rating. In 2008, the Lodge
earned the Forbes Five-Star award continuing the Lodge’s standing as
the first and only Utah property to achieve this distinction.
“It is a significant honor to continue to be Utah’s
only hotel to receive the Forbes Five-Star award,” said Russ Olsen,
CEO, of Stein Eriksen Lodge. “This distinction illustrates the
unyielding dedication of our staff to provide the highest caliber of
service. Without such dedication given on a daily basis, this honor
would not have been possible.”
With
this award, Stein Eriksen Lodge joins a very exclusive group of
properties capable of offering guests full assurance that they will
consistently benefit from uncompromising, exceptional service.
Located
mid-mountain at Deer Valley Resort, Stein Eriksen Lodge is the ultimate
year-round luxury resort, offering world-class hospitality,
accommodations, fine-dining, meeting facilities, spa services and
recreation. With 180 rooms including 68 suites, the ski-in/ski-out
property features such amenities as full-service concierge, ski valets,
twice daily maid service, rental shop and boutiques.
Since
its inception in 1958, the Forbes Travel Guide has used an objective
set of judging criteria, unique among leading travel books, which sets
national standards yet allows for regional and individual preferences.
A carefully selected team of hospitality experts anonymously evaluates
the establishments listed in the Guide, using a proprietary ratings
process based on more than 750 rigorous and standardized criteria that
are evaluated and updated annually. Properties must offer a level of
experience appropriate to the cost, based on the quality of such items
as décor, comfort, amenities, and services.
