Wolf Mountain Ski Resort in Eden Opens 2012-2013 Season

December 27, 2012

EDEN, Utah – Dec. 28, 2012 – Wolf Mountain in scenic Ogden Valley, Utah has opened for the 2012-2013 season and has unveiled renovations that make it more comfortable and accommodating for Utah families, including the opening of the new Wolf’s Nordic Café, serving breakfast daily. The ski resort is hosting a New Year’s Eve event for families including horse-drawn sleigh rides and a torch parade.

“Wolf Mountain is better than ever with significant updates to the interior and exterior of the historic lodge,” said Sue Munson, Wolf Mountain Marketing Director. “We’re thrilled with the new look which includes opening up the front half of the lodge interior to the vaulted ceiling and exposing the original log beams complete with the original bark. The improvements have created a more welcoming atmosphere to our charming barn.

“Our first priority at Wolf Mountain is taking great care of our guests, providing welcoming and friendly customer service from the time they purchase their tickets until they get their last hot chocolate on the way home,” added Munson. “We offer a very affordable family experience, including the expanded food operations in the lodge. You don’t need to be a skier to enjoy our reasonable prices and delicious new menu that includes at least two freshly-made soups every day throughout the ski season, along with our signature sourdough pancakes made with a 150-year old start.”

Munson invites families to give the resort a try on New Year’s Eve, where from 4 p.m. – 9 p.m., tickets will be only $22 for adults and $17 for children. Also that night, for only $15, individuals can take a horse-drawn sleigh ride and get dinner from 4 to 9 p.m.  A torch light parade and fireworks are scheduled that night starting at 9 p.m.

Wolf Mountain has something for skiers and snowboarders of all levels. The Ski/Snowboard school is gearing up for a busy season according to Munson. The first session of the After School Program has nearly sold out and the second session is filling up fast.
