Women’s Yoga Retreat at Alta Lodge

November 4, 2010

Alta, UT—Just in time before the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, Alta Lodge is offering a two-day women’s yoga retreat. The immersion retreat, just for women, emphasizes instruction with uninterrupted time for yoga practitioners of all abilities, allowing them to focus on a greater realization of their current practice.

The retreat is led by Carrie Coppola, whose style of teaching is a delicate balance between intention and surrender.  Carrie’s passion for yoga leads her to guide her students to discover their own beauty and essence.  Her classes are serious, focused and spiritual.  Carrie has practiced yoga primarily with D’ana Baptiste, and also with Ana Forrest, Rolf Gates and Christy Burnette; she has been certified as an instructor since 2007.

The retreat begins on Saturday morning and includes five yoga sessions and two meditation sessions.  The retreat ends Sunday after lunch. Participants will also have time to rest and relax. The retreat includes Saturday night lodging, all meals, and yoga instruction.  Costs for the November retreat are $340 per person for double occupancy or $399 for single occupancy, including tax and lodging service charge.  Participants are encouraged to sign up early as registration is limited to 20 participants.

Alta Lodge, located 45 minutes from Salt Lake International Airport, opened in 1939 as Alta's first ski hotel and has been owned and operated by the Levitt family since 1959.  The 57-room lodge is a traditional mountain lodge where guests can relax and unwind in the surrounding Wasatch Mountains.
