Park City, Utah (December 9, 2013) – Park City Mountain Resort’s Golden Anniversary celebration continues with the return of its traditional holiday celebrations, including one as old as the resort itself.
On Saturday, December 14, Santa and his reindeer descend from the sky onto Town Plaza, on Park City’s Historic Main Street, via Town Lift. Festivities kick off at 5:30 p.m. with free hot chocolate and cookies on the plaza. After landing, Santa will take photos and listen to wish lists from young and old who have made his “Nice” list.
On Christmas Eve, a holiday tradition as old as the resort returns: PCMR’s 50thAnnual Torchlight Parade. Santa and the resort’s ski and snowboard instructors illuminate PayDay run in a dazzling procession of lights before proceeding into the Resort Plaza. Free hot chocolate and cookies will be served in the plaza beginning at 5:30 p.m. Resort guests should also keep an eye out for Santa skiing around the Resort throughout the day on Christmas Eve.
Park City Mountain Resort begins night operations on December 25, with night skiing and snowboarding available at PayDay lift and run, First Time lift and run and 3 Kings lift and terrain park. Night access will be offered until 8 p.m. seven days a week through March 30, 2014.
