*Operational Status*
The operational status of your tour is confirmed between 4:00–6:00 PM the evening prior to your reservation. This ensures our guides have the latest weather, avalanche forecasts, and resort operations updates before finalizing the day's route.
Tour Overview
A typical Deer Valley departure begins at 8:15 AM inside The Residences at The Chateaux, located in Deer Valley's Silver Lake Village (Upper Deer Valley). Your guides will meet you in the Clubhouse room, where you'll review the day's plans, covering weather, routes, avalanche conditions, and backcountry etiquette. You'll also be outfitted with a Ski Utah Gold Pass and an avalanche safety equipment, with a brief orientation on the equipment. Personal items such as shoes or bags can be stored in the Clubhouse lockers.

The ski day begins around 9:00 AM with warm-up laps inside Deer Valley, giving guides a chance to evaluate ability levels and ensuring the group is comfortable before venturing out. From there, the day unfolds according to conditions, group objectives, and terrain availability. Guides continually check in with local ski patrols and make route adjustments as needed to provide the best combination of safety, snow quality, and adventure.
Midday, you'll pause for a lunch break at an on-mountain restaurant (included with your reservation), before continuing your tour across a variety of Wasatch terrain. The afternoon typically offers both resort and backcountry travel, with plenty of opportunities for memorable descents and new mountain perspectives.

The tour concludes with return transportation back to Deer Valley, giving you time to relax, recount the day's highlights, and celebrate your journey.
