Snowbird Beacon Park Challenge

Put your avalanche safety skills and beacon rescue knowledge to the test. Join Snowbird, Mammut and Snowbird Mountain Guides at the Avalanche Rescue Training Center for a competition where your group of 5 can claim the crown in this contest based on technical knowledge and speed. Post-competition, enjoy pizza and soda during the awards ceremony. Winning groups (1st - 3rd place) will receive prize packs Post-competition there will be pizza from Tram Car Pizza and Pepsi beverages Events 3-Legged Beacon Drill: Clock the fastest time to a positive probe strike while tied to your partner. Digging Contest: Get out your shovel and practice your pit-digging skills. Probe Javelin: Aim for the bullseye–each team member gets 1 throw. Multi-Burial: 5 buried transceivers and 5 team members to "rescue" them. Full Rescue: Timed team rescue. The first team with the transceiver recovered on the snow surface wins.
