Powder Mountain Opens New Sundance Lift

Powder Mountain Resort’s new Sundown lift will take its first riders on December 23

Eden, Utah – Powder Mountain Resort’s new Sundown lift will take its first riders on December 23. The ceremonial first chair honor will be given to the original founder of Powder Mountain, Dr. Alvin Cobabe.

Dr. Cobabe started Powder Mountain Resort 42 years ago with the construction of the first Sundown lift. This season that original lift was replaced by a new modern quad chairlift, manufactured by Utah-based company Skytrac.

“We are very excited to have the new lift open for the holidays. Mother Nature has been holding off giving us the big storms until the Sundown lift was completed.” said Joe Stanczyk, Powder Mountain’s Marketing Director.

Powder Mountain currently has Hidden Lake, Timberline and Sundown chair lifts open with more terrain opening with each storm. Check the Powder Mountain website at www.powdermountain.com for the most up to date information.
