Ski Utah Awarded Multiple Accolades at Utah Tourism Conference
May 18, 2011
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH – Ski Utah was honored with five awards for the company's 2010-11 season marketing initiatives at last week’s Annual Utah Tourism Conference at Canyons Resort. Collectively, four individual campaign distinctions earned Ski Utah the ‘Best of Show’ title.
“Each year Ski Utah’s staff works exceptionally hard creating effective and innovative campaigns further promoting Utah’s wintersports products and services,” said Ski Utah President Nathan Rafferty. “We feel very honored to have our efforts commended by a field of our peers in this way. These awards serve as motivation to continue developing new programs for our association members and resorts.”
The ‘Best of Show’ title was the result of several successful Ski Utah marketing campaigns for the 2010-11 season. Ski Utah was recognized for four individual campaigns at the Tourism Conference including ‘Best Print Ad’ for an inventive cover insert in SKI magazine; ‘Best Public Relations Campaign’ for a collaborative New York City media event with Saveur magazine highlighting Utah resort chefs and local foods; ‘Best Social Media Marketing Campaign’ for on-going activity on the Ski Utah Yeti Facebook fan page; and ‘Best Website’ highlighting videos and other multimedia aspects of the site.
Although the calendar year has switched to spring, Ski Utah is already focused on the approaching 2011-12 winter season. Skiers and snowboarders still looking to make a few turns can head to Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort, which plans to offer weekend skiing through Memorial Day or later (conditions permitting).
