A Foot of New Snow for Alta's Closing Day

By Powderhound Matt Apr 26, 2016
Alta, the home of The Greatest Snow on Earth just shut down for the season exactly how you would have expected her to, with over a foot of snow for closing day. Read on to see multiple recaps from the day which included powder skiing and partying!
A Foot of New Snow for Alta's Closing Day

Imagine the perfect set up for closing day. What would that be like? Would it snow a foot before the opening bell? Would the clouds part mid day and reveal a nice warm sun? Would all your best friends be out there hooting and hollering? Well that’s how things went down at Alta Ski Area on Sunday. With another season in the books, yesterday just had that feeling like all was right in the world. Wall to wall smiles and high-fives!

Some partied the day away in the Wildcat parking lot and others celebrated up on High Boy.  In powder-obsessed fashion we decided to get after it and we skied Powder from bell to bell.

The real Allstars did both! Unfortunately, I’m not on that team. Give me a break folks, I’m old, bald and I’ve got more gray hair in my beard than actual hair on my head.

Fortunately, my partner in crime Adam "Bagel Boy" is pretty good at both. Check out his close-out Alta party ski edit.
