A Very Merry Christmas, Indeed!

The Canyons is a festive place to be for the holidays.
A Very Merry Christmas, Indeed!

Canyons is totally awesome. And so is Christmas. Putting the two together makes perfect sense.

I had some friends visiting and I knew I had to take them up to Canyons Saturday. If nothing else, just to see the Santas. How cool is it to see all the great costumes? Totally got us in the holiday spirit.

The day got better and better. The new open terrain was soft and creamy to ski. The trees still held some great powder. Lunch was delicious - we had a practical Christmas feast at the Red Pine Lodge. I highly recommend the hot open faced turkey sandwich. Another tip - there's free WiFi! Helped us upload our photos to Facebook so we could all sit next to each other liking them while we ate, ha!

We skied all day. When we went to return Eric's gear at the shop - which was also so easy and pleasant - there were carolers, and balloon animals! The whole day was festive and fun. The bottom of the resort is the perfect place to stay and hang out, especially on the beach or by the fire pits. Canyons has done a great job turning the base into a community area to spend some time celebrating your day with all your ski buddies.

I can't imagine a better time to come out and visit. The end of year and the holidays make traveling hectic, but with a place like Canyons to unwind, it's worth it!
I hope Santa is good to you all and you get trips to Utah for Christmas.
