Drive through Ogden Canyon, and in less than 45 minutes, you’ll find yourself at a mountain reservoir oasis, perfect for cooling off on scorching summer days. While Pineview Reservoir is closer, but Causey is often preferred because it does not allow motorized boats. This makes it the perfect spot for paddleboarding, kayaking and canoeing. Causey also offers a range of cliffs for cliff jumping when the water levels are high enough; a great way to mix some thrills into your relaxing reservoir adventure.

TFNU Peak Challenge

If you want to take to the mountains this summer, the Trail Foundation of Northern Utah has a challenge for you. The TFNU Peak Challenge encourages everyone to get out on the trails and bag four of Ogden’s most famous local peaks: Lewis, Malan’s, Mount Ogden and Ben Lomond. Those looking for extra credit can add on other local legends, such as Willard Peak or Frary Peak. TFNU’s Peak Challenge is a great way to log some miles, explore new trails and see Ogden from a new perspective.
