When you have a family, it's all about the deals. But when you see FREE, that will certainly catch your eye. Eagle Point in central Utah has deals that make it affordable for a family to ski.
Kids can ski FREE at Eagle Point with lodging packages!

I'm all about deals as I'm sure all you parents are. If I can save $5 here $10 there, I am a happy Mom. So when you go to the website at Eagle Point and see kids ski free, that grabs you! Eagle Point is located equal distance from Las Vegas and Salt Lake City-about 3 1/2 hours. Only 18 miles from Beaver, you climb to 9000' and you're up into the alpine of the Tushar Mountains. You can fly into either Las Vegas or Salt Lake City, and also spend some time exploring southern Utah as well. Lodging can be found right at the resort in condos and vacation rental homes, or 20 miles away in Beaver. If you're looking for that quaint mountain feel, look into the condo rentals. They are very affordable and has ski in/ski out availability. After loading and unloading gear a million times, this sounds good to me.

Lift rates are very affordable. Kids 6 and under ski/board free and seniors over 70 ski free. The best deal comes if you stay either at the on site condos/homes or the Comfort Inn in Beaver. With a paying adult and lodging with maximum capicity, kids receive a free lift ticket each night of the stay. There are some holiday blackout dates, however there is no limit. If you stay 5 nights, you get 5 tickets for the kids. Now that is a deal!

Lessons are offered for skiers beginning at 4 years old and for snowboarders beginning at 7 years old. You can choose the group or private lessons, and get your kids up and on their way. If you want an adventure, Eagle Point works with Tushar Mountain tours for a great backcountry experience. If you are into a little nightlife, even at 9100' you can head out on the weekends at the Canyonside Lodge. A side note to that...drink plenty of water. If you've never stayed at high elevations before, you can find yourself getting a bit dizzy and feeling sick. It is mostly due to dehydration. At altitudes over 6000', you perspire twice as much as at sea level! It has happened to me before, so keep that in mind. So, take advantage of this great offer and enjoy the beauty of southern Utah.

Another offer...the 5th and 6th grade passport program. For the application fee of $35, your fifth grader can ride FREE 3 times at each of Utah's resorts and your sixth grader can ride FREE once at each of Utah's resorts. Don't know if it gets better than that! There's that FREE word again Moms and Dads!
